Australian spinner, Nathan Hauritz, is hopeful about his return to cricket for the Sri Lankan tour, expected to start in August, 2011.
A strong-willed Hauritz hopes to be fit for bowling in the next three weeks, as he continues recovering from his shoulder surgery.
The player had a surgery earlier this year in March, after a incurring a serious injury to his right shoulder.

"I'm hoping to be bowling in about three weeks. Generally it's about a four- to six-month recovery. I'm hoping to be fit for selection [for Sri Lanka in August], and bowling. I probably won't be throwing by then, but definitely bowling and everything like that should be no drama.”
The 29-year-old has been undergoing physical training in the past couple of months to aid the healing process. The training sessions in the last few weeks to hasten the recovery, are showing fast progress.
"It's all progressing really well now. The last couple of weeks we stepped up the training with a bit more strength-based stuff, swimming and push-ups and that sort of thing, and it's really responded well. I'm very happy with where it's at,” he shared.
However, whether the player is chosen for the Sri Lankan tour is altogether a separate matter. The spin-friendly tracks in Sri Lanka may entice the selection committee to pick an extra spinner. It is however, uncertain which player will play the front-runner.
Speaking of the new captain, Michael Clarke, Hauritz claimed that Clarke always influenced his game. Reflecting on his past experiences with Clarke, he elaborated that the duo has been fantastic team mates.
If Ritzy is able to avail a Test opportunity this year, there are greater chances that he will be playing in the South African tour in November instead of the Sri Lankan tour that is closing in.
Hauritz is satisfied with his performance so far and thinks that his game has moved along a steep learning curve while he played at the domestic level. His bowling as well as batting, has seen sizeable improvement and has boosted his confidence.
