Peter Forrest to replace Michael Hussey for England Tour

Michael Hussey has withdrawn from Australia’s upcoming tour of Ireland and England citing family reasons. Cricket Australia has named Peter Forrest as his replacement. Australia are scheduled to play a one-off ODI against Ireland followed by a 5-ODI Series against England in June-July.

Michael Hussey has withdrawn from Australia’s upcoming tour of Ireland and England citing family reasons. Cricket Australia has named Peter Forrest as his replacement. Australia are scheduled to play a one-off ODI against Ireland followed by a 5-ODI Series against England in June-July.

The 37-year-old Michael Hussey wants to stay with his family as his wife Amy had unexpectedly given birth to a three months premature baby. The Cricket Australia website has Michael Hussey quoted as "Due to our baby being born three months early, it is important for the family for me to be here at this time," Hussey said in a statement.

"It is always difficult to miss any tour for Australia and I thank CA for their understanding of our family's situation."

Australia’s only ODI against Ireland is on 23rd of this month while the Series against England begins on 29th of this month.
